# Save the World

**Save the World** is CraftZ's server-wide, season-long objective. The entire community is working toward one thing: **ending the apocalypse**.

### The goal

Every zombie killed across the server counts toward a **global target**. The running total is shown on the server panel (it's hidden while it sits at 0).

### Two ways to end the season

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Grind it down" %}
The community collectively reaches the **global zombie-kill target**. Every player's kills contribute - it's a shared effort.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Go nuclear" %}
A player who reaches **Level 100+** can pull a **nuclear weapon** from the top-tier **Level-Up crate** (`level6`) and **detonate it** to end the season single-handedly. See [Leveling & XP](/progression/leveling.md).

<figure><img src="https://860392903-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FE2xHi2aDIHUQ3n7o7YuN%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8217e60a9ae2e1f3748763003cad5b486339d32e%2Fexplosives-talkie-walkie-nuclear.png?alt=media" alt="The Talkie-Walkie with its screen showing the nuclear warhead and TARGET ACQUIRED" width="200"><figcaption><p>Nuclear mode on the Talkie-Walkie.</p></figcaption></figure>

To launch it, set a [**Talkie-Walkie**](/survival/explosives.md#airstrikes) to **Nuclear** mode, aim at the target, and call the strike with the Nuclear Bomb in your inventory. A siren sounds, a **1 min 36s** warhead announcement plays, and then the warhead hits.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

### What happens when the season ends

{% hint style="danger" %}
When the objective is met, **zombies stop spawning**. The world becomes a **relaxed modded SMP for 1-2 months** - a breather to build and explore - before a full **wipe** and a brand-new season begins.
{% endhint %}

So every season has an arc: a desperate fight against the horde, a hard-won victory, a peaceful interlude, and then a fresh start for everyone.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://wiki.craftz.net/game-modes/save-the-world.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
